The main challenge was merging the distinct identities of the two collaborating news channels while maintaining a cohesive, contemporary aesthetic. The producers envisioned a contemporary and modern design that seamlessly blended the identities of two distinct news channels. However, achieving this without one brand overshadowing the other proved challenging. We started by stripping down each brand to its core shapes and colours. A new form emerged, blending the curves of the BBC brand with the straight lines of Channels TV to create something uniquely its own. Through further iterations, it evolved into its current shape.

The initial approach of combining the primary colors (blue and red) of the two brands resulted in a visually jarring effect. To overcome this, a neutral color was introduced, creating separation and establishing a strong visual contrast that allowed both brands to shine through while maintaining a unified identity.
